Inspire

For me, I wanted to get out of the gym and I wanted something more, something new, and something challenging and fun. I was Inspired by my brother John Cook, Owner of Evolve, Inc. in Medina, OH, and former high school wrestling teammate Scott Overholt, Owner of S.O.S. Training in Akron, OH.  On top of that I have incurred chronic neck problems from years of wrestling which have weakened and atrophied my left shoulder, and my right arm does not extend completely.  My goal is to rebuild strength and musculacture in my neck, back, and shoulder. What's your motivation?

I started Kettlebell training 3 times a week and within a week or two I felt stronger and surprisingly more flexible. When I say stronger I mean overall core functional strength and flexibility.  Mind you, this is not my first time training.  I have been strength training for 25 years from powerlifting and bodybuilder gyms, to NCAA Division I and Olympic strength & conditioning programs. I graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Kinesiology.  I was a personal trainer and fitness manager working in gyms and fitness clubs for 10 years after college while training and competing to make the World and Olympic Wrestling team. I coached high school and college wrestling programs across the country and developed strength & conditioning programs for some of the programs as well.

Kettlebell training, even though it has been around for decades, is a new breakthrough for me.  It is a mix of strength, power, endurance, coordination, balance, and flexibility that you don't get from most exercise programs.  One of the best aspects of the training is that I can do it anywhere anytime.

I began Kettlebell Beach Club (KBC) in Dana Point, CA (south Orange County, near San Clemente) as a resource for information to learn, share, and inspire you to learn Kettlebell training and to help you reach your fitness goals.  Kettlebells are for anyone and everyone.  Stay tuned for updates on information and workout routines as well as Kettlebell classes.  If you are interested in lessons or group training, please email: Markus at mollica73@gmail.com.
